K's just left for the evening....

... she's only going up the road to a friend's for a chat and glass or two of wine, maybe 15-20 minutes walk.

"Give me a ring when you're about to leave, ", I said, " and I'll head up and either pick you up at L's house, or meet you en route".

"Aye", says K, "that'll be good".

Then she started walking down the garden path.

"Oh bugger!", I shouted, "Can't! What about the little bugger upstairs in bed?"

What good and mindful parents we are :-)
