I HATE DOING GRAPHICAL WORK

rss feed for this post's comments

I'm doing some work for a client at the moment, and it necessitated widening their page template. And that entailed re-building a relatively simple graphical header. Simple - you got that bit?

After hours and hours and fucking hours of using ColorPix (a great standalone app - you highlight a pixel, it tells you the RGB decimal, RGB hex, HSB, and CMYK values for that colour. You copy and paste into your graphic app, and hey presto -

- it looks EXACTLY NOT LIKE THE ORIGINAL COLORR.

THAT'S WHY I FUCKING HATE DOING GRAPHICAL WORK.

But. I have learned something.

Well, two things, actually.

1. Never do graphics. Ever.

2. If you're matching colours, use CMYK. It worked. First time. A few seconds of trying something new resolved a godforsaken number of hours messing around with RGB and HSB values.
