Must get one now!

rss feed for this post's comments

Was getting a starbucks at the station on the way to work yesterday (the Holy Mince Pie season is alas over till November again - I'd hoped to squeeze one last one in, but alas it wasn't to be. Better to have loved and lost than etc etc etc).

Anyhows, I saw their advert for a Starbucks pre-pay card. The first thing I noticed what no mention of the word "discount". So you want me to give you a shed load of money for a pre-pay card... for why? So I can be "a member of the club"? Don't think so.

Second thing, and slightly more worrying, is how much you are asked to put on at first to get one.

... Don't worry, this isn't going where you think...

It wasn't the high price that concerned me. I'd expected them to ask for a mortgage-level number of zeroes on the end of your first deposit, but I think it was a tenner. So about 3 coffees then, if you don't splash out on syrup, the largest size, etc.

No. It wasn't the high price.

It was the low one.

A minimum of 2 pound can get you your own pre-pay Starbucks card.

Er.... anyone know what you can get for 2 quid? That's normally the tip, right?
