Battlestar Galactica

Sigh. Some people just don't get it, do they?

There was I, having just turned on the TV and hunting for the remote control to put Ceebeebies on for A Jr., and Entertainment Today was playing on Sky One.

The sound was muted due to having been muted last night when the TV was turned off, but I could see they were talking about the JonBenet Ramsey murder, and John Mark Karr, the suspected killer (nice photo of him with a real bad mullet). The piece finished before I had the volume back up, so I didn't catch what they were saying.

But let's back up a second.

Entertainment Today: JonBenet being murdered.

Anyone else find this slightly sickening? I don't see any way you can twist the real-life events to be classed as entertainment.

Bring back the Christians and lions, I say. Although obviously today's media frenzy would make damned sure it would be the Muslims vs the lions.

Oh my god, I've come over all hippity-hop!

I'm loving Nelly's "Loose" album right now. "Say It Right" is a classy song, and "All Good Things Come To An End" is damn good, although a bit poppier.

Love the chorus of "Maneater", but the verses leave me a bit... nyaaah.

K's just left for the evening....

... she's only going up the road to a friend's for a chat and glass or two of wine, maybe 15-20 minutes walk.

"Give me a ring when you're about to leave, ", I said, " and I'll head up and either pick you up at L's house, or meet you en route".

"Aye", says K, "that'll be good".

Then she started walking down the garden path.

"Oh bugger!", I shouted, "Can't! What about the little bugger upstairs in bed?"

What good and mindful parents we are :-)

Microsoft Live Labs: Photosynth - Video

Now THAT's impressive. None of that "latest Google BETA of the month" shite.

Early days, but impressive.

Doesn't say how long it took to set up. But still impressive.

Quote about Bill Nighy / Pirates 2

rss feed for this post's comments

Just reading IMDB.com about Bill Nighy, and came across the funniest thing I've read in a long time.

Written in Sept 2005: "But about the Pirates film - Bill's character will probably be totally CGI, something like Gollum, I'm afraid. The first sketches looked like a horror version of Dr. Zoidberg. I was so dissapointed when I've seen that. :( "

And that's killed Pirates 2 for me, that's for sure.

:-)

Just gotten round to listening to some of William Shatner's "Has Been" album. "Real" is a classic song:

I'd love to help the world and all its problems
But I'm an entertainer, and that's all
So the next time there's an asteroid or a natural disaster
I'm flattered that you thought of me
But I'm not the one to call
